Geopolitics has become a major force transforming agri-food systems worldwide, as international tensions have risen [1].
Agri-food systems refer to the dynamic production, processing, distribution, consumption, and waste management of food, and
involve the interdependence of economic, environmental, and political factors [2].
Thunbergia fragrans Roxb. (Acanthaceae) is used in Siddha medicine, for the management of various ailments. The present
review aims to compile and critically analyse the available information on the phytochemical composition, traditional uses,
and pharmacological activities of T. fragrans. Traditionally, the plant has been used to treat stomach disorders, wounds,
headache, fever, giddiness, and eye diseases.
